Man poisons Imam's daughter, buries corpse in his room

The Police in Bauchi have commenced investigations into the alleged poisoning to death of Hajara Ahmed, the daughter of Chief Imam of Bauchi Central Mosque, Alhaji Ahmed Baban-Inna. Bauchi Police Command’s spokesman, DSP Haruna Mohammed, told NAN on Thursday that the crime was committed on Monday at about 6pm, by one Jarelu Ahmed, aged 30.

“On Monday,August 31, at about 18:00hrs,Police Detectives attached to Township Division in Bauchi, arrested one Jarelu Ahmed, male and 30 years, of Railway road, Bauchi. A teenager has died after accidentally shooting himself while taking selfies with a loaded gun - police have said.
Deleon Alonso Smith, 19, died of a single gunshot wound to the throat after accidentally pulling the trigger.
The young dad-of-two had been taking pictures of himself and his cousin while holding the weapon.
Police were called to his apartment in Houston, Texas, at around 1.30pm on Tuesday local time.

Pope Francis will allow Roman Catholic priests to absolve women who have had abortions if they seek forgiveness during the upcoming Holy Year of Mercy.
