Pedro Eliezer Rodríguez Ledesma, the newly-recruited Chelsea striker, has declared that he joined “The Blues” to win titles.
The 28-year-old Spaniard who links up with former Barcelona teammate, Cesc Fabregas at the Stamford Bridge after a botched deal with English giants, Manchester United, was formally introduced
on Thursday.
Pedro, is a highly coveted winger who can also play as a central striker, and is proven at the very highest level, with an enviable medal haul.
The new Chelsea forward, who dumped Manchester United in last minute deal, boasts of three Champions League titles, five La Liga titles, World and European championship winning medals as well with the Spanish national side.
“I am very happy to be here. I am very excited to start my adventure at Chelsea and I am here to keep winning titles.
“Thanks to the club and the supporters for giving me the opportunity to put the blue shirt on,” he reportedly told Chelsea’s official website.
Pedro ended his time at Barcelona on a high as he scored the winning goal in their 5-4 UEFA Super Cup triumph over Sevilla.
Recall that Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho, was an odds-on favourite to be the first English Premier League coach to be sacked this season, following his team’s dismal start to the new EPL campaign.
